Minimum Entry Salary *: Based On Experience Location: Warner Robins, GA Services Area/Programs: Family Support Description of Duties: Handling all initial and renewal Family Support Applications. This includes developing an Individual Family Support Plan with families initially and completing annual renewals. Responsible for connecting individuals and families with additional resources within the community. Including identifying additional resources (social, economic, recreational and educational services) within our 11-county coverage area. Connecting with local school systems to provide education about the Family Support and Waiver programs to families. Under supervision, performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making for IDD services. Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Fostering connections with referring vendors, other departments, divisions, outside agencies within the community about IDD services. May administer or provide high level support for various projects, grants, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions. Providing support, guidance, and sometimes direct services like counseling, case management, or parenting education. Inputting individual's demographics and uploading all data into electronic records system. Responsible for ordering all supplies for Family Support Individuals, as well as Specialized Medical Supply (SMS) orders. Working on all interagency referrals received for families and caregivers seeking support through the Waiver application process. Responsible for requesting Prior Approvals for additional services, equipment, etc. through DBHDD. This could include assisting with obtaining bids, estimates for submission to region for request. Also, being a Liaison with external resources (doctor's, NP, therapist's) to receive required documents for additional services, equipment, etc. Monitoring, reviewing, and approving/denying all invoices, submitting for vendor payment. Monitoring and submitting claims for reimbursement in the provider system as necessary. Creating, monitoring, and tracking all Family Support budgets. Providing education and supervision to interns as available. Responsible for adhering to all policies related to the Family Support program. Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. Qualifications: Associate degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience related to area of assignment. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over year. Preferred Qualifications: A human services professional with a bachelor's degree in social work OR a bachelor's degree in related field other than social work AND with experience in providing services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Valid GA Driver's License.
