This statewide program has the responsibility for the operation and/or surveillance of all activities involved in the control of Sexually Transmitted Diseases; especially Syphilis, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. The programs main objective is to interrupt the transmission of ST - Ds; thereby reducing their incidence and prevalence, as well as their medical sequelae.
