The Economics department at times needs temporary, part-time instructors to teach various courses for our partner institution in China. Positions involve teaching sections of Principles of Macroeconomics and/or Microeconomics and potentially upper-level courses with our Chinese partner university Xinyang Normal University (XYNU) depending on departmental need and instructor qualifications. Be available for independent consultation with students as needed. Prepare course outline(s) and syllabus (syllabi), develop course and lesson plans, engage in the selection of textbook and other teaching aids necessary to the instruction of the course. Teach pertinent course subject using lectures, demonstrations, class discussion, and other appropriate modes of educational delivery. Lead and monitor classroom instruction which promotes an educational and learning process keeping with faculty academic freedom and responsibility. Foster student development. Participate in co-curricular activities such as department colloquia and honors seminars is encouraged. Serve as an academic advisor to students and be available to faculty and students for consultation for questions in your area of expertise. Note: Instruction will be primarily online and may be synchronous, asynchronous, or a combination of the two. Courses may also involve face-to-face instruction during short-term visits to XYNU. All travel expenses are covered. Some travel within China may be required. Semesters conclude with a two-week examination period. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The Economics Department contributes to the mission and strategic plan of Millersville University by offering a major and minor that prepare students to live in an increasingly diverse, multicultural, and technologically complex society. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Economics or related discipline.
- Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or ABD in Economics or related discipline.
- Prior college-level teaching experience.
