It is success you can measure.Summary/Objective: The Service Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.All job requirements listed are requirements for the core responsibilities of this position. This position may require other activities and duties be performed as assigned by their manager.Essential Functions
- Travel to customer sites for service, repairs, pre-installation consultations, assist/direct the installation of new systems, provide new equipment, product training, and product equipment demonstrations or tests.
- Perform equipment pre-shipment checkout prior to shipment
- Assist in the creation of written or visual training materials. May involve making videos of equipment installed in customer plants.
- Set up product demonstrations for Gainco visitors or for video/film crews
- Provide customer technical assistance via office telephone or company provided cell phone, including nights or weekends
- Provide support at customer tradeshows
- Become intimately familiar with Gainco electrical hardware/software systems
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- 2 yr. degree desirable in Electronics
- 3 - 5 years' experience
- Strong background in PC-based control system hardware and software, including operating systems and networking
- Patience and tenacity to carry out duties in a food processing plant environment
- Good people skills, sound oral and written communication skills
- A team player with a strong customer service orientation
- Experience with automated equipment
- Knowledge of poultry processing equipment and/or poultry processing plant environments
- PLC programming and installation experience
