This vacancy is being posted at 2 job class levels: Commerce Analyst 2 and Commerce Analyst 3. Final job class will be determined based on successful applicant's qualifications.
The purpose of this position is to approve or disapprove property and casualty insurance form, rate, and rule filings, with particular emphasis on personal automobile and homeowners' products. The analyst is expected to cross train in multiple lines of coverage as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Commerce Analyst 2
Two (2) years of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge in the insurance industry related to property and casualty insurance.
A B achelor's degree is equivalent to one (1) year of experience.
An Advanced degree is equivalent to eighteen (18) months of experience.
Applicants who meet the above experience requirements will be further evaluated based on the following:
Analytical and problem-solving skills sufficient to analyze contract language and apply regulatory requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Commerce Analyst 3
Three (3) years of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge in the insurance industry related to property and casualty insurance.
A B achelor's degree is equivalent to one (1) year of experience.
An Advanced degree is equivalent to eighteen (18) months of experience.
