Performs work in the operation of a van or other vehicles to assure safe transportation of clients to and from various destinations. Essential Functions An employee in this class drives a van or other vehicle over a scheduled route to transport clients to various locations through-out a designated service delivery area. Work is primarily transporting to and from the meal sites, Health Department, Social Services Department, medical facilities, grocery stores, drug stores, and other desired locations. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a variety of records such as time at each stop, purpose of trip, number of passengers per day, mileage, and vehicle maintenance. Minimum Education and Experience A valid North Carolina Driver's License and a minimum of five years driving experience is required.
