The Scheduler-Surgery Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all inpatient and outpatient surgery, procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician. The Position requires utilization of clinical knowledge to schedule appropriate procedures/surgeries per providers orders. Additionally responsible for scheduling of Anesthesia services for the facility. Provides support, and communicates necessary information to physicians offices and physicians regarding scheduling times or changes. Responsible for charge capture for operating rooms and/or procedural areas they serve. Works closely with the revenue cycle departments to resolve issues and provide solutions related to patient charges, auditing and revenue management. Identifies revenue management opportunities, conducts charge reconciliation to ensure optimal charge capture, reimbursement, and compliant revenue.
