The Assistant Professor for Department of Music reports to the Music Department Chair, the Dean of The College of Liberal Arts and Behavioral Sciences and the Associate Dean and handles supporting and advancing the mission and goals of the university and the college/school in all academic, scholarly and student support activities. The Assistant Professor teaches 21 semester credit hours of assigned courses in the department of Music concentrations per year (12/9), develops curriculum and course content, advises students on course requirements, and takes part in college/school activities for the advancement of organizational goals and student success. Specifically, as the Choir Director, the successful candidate handles leading the choir in rehearsals and performances, selecting music, and teaching vocal techniques. They must have excellent musical skills, knowledge of distinctive styles of singing including jazz, classical and black gospel, and be able to work with a variety of voices....Assistant Professor, Director, Music, Professor, Department, Assistant
