Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and maintain threat models for various software projects
• Conduct manual and automated secure code reviews, mainly in Java, Python, and JavaScript
• Develop security automation tools
• Perform adversarial security analysis using modern tools
• Facilitate security training and outreach for internal development teams
• Provide security architecture and design guidance
• Tackle security challenges requiring novel solutions
• Influence your team and partners' processes and priorities to enhance outcomes

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Application Security
• Advanced knowledge of security engineering, system security, networking security, authentication protocols, cryptography, or application security
• Proficiency in reading and writing code in at least one programming language
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technology fields, or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the Application Security domain
• Development experience in Python and/or Java
• Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle

Compensation at Amazon reflects regional labor costs across various US markets. The base pay for this role ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and may include equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive benefits package.
