Responsibilities:

The Dining Services Director will oversee and elevate the food service program by ensuring top-quality standards, inventory management, food safety, and outstanding customer service. Adhering to facility menus, as well as state and local regulations, is crucial for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

  • Lead and inspire the food service team to excel in quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain precise records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
  • Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; assist in various roles as necessary.
  • Communicate client directives effectively to ensure seamless operations.
  • Implement safety measures and report equipment needs promptly.
  • Follow infection control and sanitation procedures to uphold a clean environment.
  • Consistently demonstrate attendance, punctuality, and timely task completion.
  • Promote a positive image of HCSG through courteous interactions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Dietetic Services Supervisor (DSS) credential, or a 4-year degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality with relevant coursework.
  • Two years of quantity food production/service and personnel supervision experience preferred.
  • Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
  • Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications required within the first 60 days.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Positive attitude and effective interactions with all stakeholders are a must.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
  • Must be able to lift/carry and perform physical activities for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills necessary for maintaining records and completing reports.
  • Residency within the service area is required.
