Job Description :

The Senior Pricing Analyst serves as a resource to Hogan Lovells lawyers, business team employees, and clients to retrieve, compile, and analyze data used for innovative fee arrangements and value-added services aimed at increasing cost-effectiveness and efficiency. JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Support senior management in preparation of RFP responses and related analyses;
  • Work closely with colleagues in Business Development, Finance, and the partnership to develop solutions in response to client RFPs and Pricing requests;
  • Support senior management in preparation of complex Excel models, KPIs and charts associated with custom pricing studies, projections, and formal presentations;
  • Take ownership of client RFP and Pricing projects, including related decision-making and coordinating with colleagues in other functional departments;
  • Prepare and maintain rate schedules and related Excel files;
  • Assemble data from multiple sources to develop and produce actionable reports;
  • Support operational leads by analyzing business requirements and implementing solutions;
  • Participate in data maintenance and improvement initiatives;
  • Responsible for ad hoc analysis requests for the pricing team, internal clients, and external clients;
  • Retrieve and analyze data using custom datasets and Analysis Services cube solutions;
  • Creatively solve problems while appropriately challenging assumptions and consistently providing a high-quality work product;
  • Participate in continual development and publication of thought leadership and service offerings;
  • Participate in our firm's Global Responsible Business program; and
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Strong finance background and quantitative skill set
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with lawyers, professional-level business team employees, and peers
  • Strong organizational and management skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience working independently, as well as within cross-functional teams, in a collaborative, professional environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with analysis services or comparable OLAP technology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of law firm financial management systems, such as Elite Enterprise or 3E
  • Excel data modeling, statistical modeling, and regression
  • Proforma and scenario modeling
  • Knowledge of the legal industry's KPIs and competitive landscape
  • Experience in procurement and RFP responses
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Three (3) to five (5)+ years of related experience, preferably in a professional services or corporate environment, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • CFA, MBA, or advanced degree in a related science is a plus
HOURS Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST. Must be available for additional hours as necessary. This position is posted in multiple locations. In Washington, D.C., the annualized salary range for this position is $147,000 to $175,000 and in New York, the annualized salary range for this position is $158,000 to $188,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. In addition, full time employees as well as some part time employees, will be eligible for the firm's fringe benefits as they currently exist.
