Job Responsibilities
  • Craft Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' specific needs and design tailored therapy strategies that facilitate the achievement of their functional goals.
  • Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize evidence-based practices to improve patients' physical skills, cognitive capabilities, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with OTs, PTs, STs, medical professionals, and nursing staff to ensure holistic and comprehensive patient care.
  • Guide Patients and Families: Educate patients and their support networks on therapy techniques to help advance their recovery journey at home.
  • Monitor and Keep Track of Progress: Document clinical outcomes, making necessary adjustments to the treatment plan to keep patients on the path to recovery.
Education Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Ongoing education or additional certifications encouraged and supported.
Certification Requirements
  • Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory.
