Job Type Full-time Description SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for enzyme manufacturing operations both in microbial fermentations and downstream purification of biological products for in-house processes and contract manufacturing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, included but not limited to:
- Perform operations regarding microbial cell production via fermentation.
- Perform operations regarding enzyme purification from microbial cells.
- Assist with inventory maintenance.
- Ordering of raw materials and supplies for the Enzyme Manufacturing Department.
- General cleaning and organization of the lab areas. Maintain clean and safe work area.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures are implemented and followed.
- Assist with validation and implementation of new processes.
- Assist as needed in other areas of the company where training requirements have been completed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience OR a relevant associates degree.
- Lab experience
- Experience working in a regulated industry (food grade, laboratory, etc.)
- Self-motivated.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with cGMP manufacturing requirements.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with microbial fermentors, and or fermentation processes.
- Familiarity with downstream processing regarding biological products.
