Job Summary We seek a product data scientist for our Venmo Analytics team who will go beyond basic reporting to support experiments, new features, and strategic initiatives. The role involves mining rich data, supporting experimentation, and developing insights into the Venmo user experience and payment business, collaborating across functional teams. Key Responsibilities Perform technical analyses on business trends and present insights clearly. Create visually appealing and understandable data visualizations. Identify key business drivers, establish cause-and-effect relationships, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Collaborate with Risk, Product, Marketing, and other teams to analyze performance trends and root causes. Support new product launches with testing plans and performance monitoring. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field or equivalent experience. 4+ years in an analytical role. Expertise in A/B testing, experimental design, and causal inference. Advanced SQL skills, experience with Teradata, BigQuery, and data mining. Experience analyzing large, complex datasets. Proficiency in Python and/or R is a plus. Knowledge of machine learning techniques is a plus. Experience in payments, ecommerce, or financial services is a plus.
