Job Title: Aircraft Technician

Job Description

The Aircraft Technician will be responsible for the disassembly and assembly of aircraft parts including wings, fuselage, and landing gear, following engineering drawings and specifications. You will perform both scheduled and on-call line maintenance work on various customers' aircraft and conduct routine maintenance and airworthiness releases to return aircraft to service. This role involves servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, engines, and associated components, as well as troubleshooting systems and repairing components to ensure full functionality according to approved technical data.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and assemble aircraft parts including wings, fuselage, and landing gear.

  • Perform line maintenance work on various customers' aircraft.

  • Conduct routine maintenance and airworthiness releases.

  • Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and associated components.

  • Troubleshoot systems and repair components according to approved technical data.

  • Ensure departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FAR's and carrier/manufacturer manuals.

  • Document all work performed accurately.

  • Collaborate with the air carrier's maintenance control center as required.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance.

  • Line maintenance experience with emphasis on troubleshooting, daily, and turn checks.

  • Experience with Boeing aircraft maintenance, especially B737, B757, B767, B777, B747.

  • Must hold an A&P license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • General Familiarization Courses are advantageous.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights.

  • Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.

  • Awareness of working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.

  • Exposure to loud noises and varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to read and write English.

  • Must pass airport security background checks and be willing to travel for work.

  • Flexible to work shifts including nights and weekends.

Work Environment

Work will be performed at the AFW airport hangar or DFW International Airport. Shifts are flexible, with openings for both day and night schedules: 6pm to 7am or 6am to 7pm. The shift pattern consists of three 12-hour shifts followed by one 6-hour shift, with options available for Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
