A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you play a vital role in our clinic. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose! You are responsible for maintaining resident medical recoreds in accourance with Mission's policies and state/federal regulations.

With a close eye for detail, you establish a record prior to admission, maintain a master file for both in-house and discharged residents, collect information from the nursing staff, therapists, physicians and other sources to keep records current, monitor and audit records for completeness and accuracy, informig the Administrator and Director of Nursing Services of deficiencies in documentation. Your warm and friendly demeanor makes it easy for you to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and your colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

LPN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing

Current CPR certification

Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations

Desire to work with the elderly

Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.
