Under administrative direction, this position will plan, review, and coordinate the activities of a team of professional staff engaged in the provision of child welfare services to children and families. The position will also monitor progress in meeting case goals and objectives and will establish and implement a system for ensuring direct regular clinical review of services is being provided to children and families. We invite you to join our innovative team to help make a positive difference in the lives of the children and families of Illinois.Essential FunctionsServes as Permanency Team Supervisor which plans, supervises, reviews, and coordinates the activities of a team of professional caseworkers engaged in providing child welfare services to children and familiesServes as working supervisorEstablishes and maintains effective linkages with the appropriate community and contracted service providers to ensure the provision of child-centered, family focused, community-based services to the maximum extent possibleEstablishes and implements a team-based program of staff development and training for subordinate staffExplains and enforces agency policies, procedures, state and area statutes, and requirementsAttends technical staff conferences to assess needed servicesPerforms other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated aboveMinimum QualificationsRequires a master's degree in social work or a related human services field from a recognized college or universityRequires three years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR four years of progressively responsible administrative experience with a master's degree in a related human services fieldSpecialized SkillsOf the noted years of experience, requires that the experience include at least 2 years in the administration of substitute care services.Conditions of EmploymentRequires ability to pass a background checkRequires ability to travel in the performance of duties.
