Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Database Administrator to join our client's team. The candidate will:
Install, configure, operate, and maintain database systems across the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) enterprise network. Research and apply best practices for database design and administration. Support the creation and maintenance of database policies, procedures, and documentation. Implement performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization of database systems. Support backup and disaster recovery strategies. Conduct capacity and availability audits. Participate in projects to define database requirements and recommend solutions. Research and introduce new database technologies. Collaborate with developers, business owners, and architects on design and implementation. Basic Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in database design, implementation, automation, or data modeling.
- Obtain or have within 6 months an environment certificate (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Azure).
- Obtain or have within 3 months a DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills
- Experience with MS SQL Server 2019 or higher.
- Experience with MS SQL Server clustering, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of relational DBMS concepts and architecture.
- Experience working with databases in Azure or AWS.
