Job Overview: Rowe Casa Organics seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical support, maintain IT systems, and ensure the efficient operation of our technology infrastructure. This position is ideal for candidates with foundational IT experience and a desire to grow their skills in a supportive environment. This is a full time position. Scheduled hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support - Provide first-level support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets, troubleshoot problems, and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of workstations, laptops, printers, and other devices.
System Maintenance - Perform routine maintenance and updates on company systems, software, and devices.
- Monitor system performance and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage and maintain IT inventory, including hardware and software licenses.
Network Administration - Assist in monitoring and maintaining the company's network, ensuring uptime and connectivity.
- Troubleshoot basic network issues (e.g., Wi-Fi connectivity, LAN issues, VPN access).
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement network updates or changes.
Cybersecurity Support - Assist in enforcing IT security policies and procedures.
- Perform basic security checks, such as ensuring systems are updated with patches and antivirus software.
- Escalate potential security risks to senior IT staff.
User Training & Support - Provide basic training to employees on software, hardware, and IT best practices.
- Document common technical issues and solutions for user reference.
IT Projects - Support IT team members in system upgrades, migrations, or deployments.
- Assist in testing new technologies and solutions before deployment.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or IT certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Google Workspace & Microsoft Fundamentals).
- 1-2 years of experience in an IT support or similar role preferred.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of MacOS & Windows 10/11 OS
- Familiarity with common office software suites, such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (e.g., IP addresses, Wi-Fi, VPN).
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripherals.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
