The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. This position requires the ability to work from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 8 PM, with on-call responsibilities for overnight and weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities: - Responding to patient inquiries and addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism. - Monitoring and observing patient vital signs during procedures. - Safely sedating patients prior to procedures and effectively recovering them afterward. - Administering medications as necessary and ensuring accurate documentation including patient notes and discharge papers. - Preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures, while maintaining cleanliness and sterilization standards. - Assisting physicians during procedures to enhance patient outcomes and comfort. - Administering intravenous (IV) drips and ensuring proper care throughout the procedure. Requirements: - New York State RN license is required. - BLS Certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory. - A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in Endoscopy/Gastroenterology is highly desired. - Telemetry experience is required. Expected Skills and Qualifications: - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. - Commitment to providing compassionate and effective patient care. Contract Details: - This is a temporary position expected to last for 17 weeks. - Schedule options include 5 shifts at 8 hours each or 4 shifts at 10 hours each.
