We are currently looking for a Full Time Child Development Center Manager to join our Child Development Center Tishomingo team located at the Child Development Center - Tishomingo working 7:15AM - 4:15PM Mo Tu We Th Fr. Summary: Responsibilities: * Ensures quality of care for up to 200 children * Coordinates the enrollment of children and maintains thorough documentation of enrollment processes * Participates in progressive discipline of employees assigned * Approves time off requests and ensures appropriate staffing * Interview, select and submit teaching and support applicants for hire * Coordinates meetings with families as needed to ensure quality of care provided and recommends programs and services to assist with additional needs * Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types - Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment - Maintains and promotes professionalism - Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics - Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards * Acquires resources, materials and equipment necessary for safe program operations and maintains accurate inventory procedures * Coordinates the planning of program engagement activities for families and staff * Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities * Maintains staff records, including training, education and experience * Performs staff observations and ensures records regarding the behavior, health and activities of children are documented to differentiate care and provide accurate reports to parents/guardians * Administers regular staff meetings, conferences, and parent engagement opportunities * Maintains knowledge of and enforce all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc. * Prepares ad hoc reports * Monitors facility safety and cleanliness in order to meet and exceed tribal and federal standards * Manages child care database systems for programming and tribal operations * Manages the day-to-day operations of the child development center. * Participates in the development and revision of child development policies, procedures and manuals. * Maintains a collaborative work environment with tribal and community partners * Ensures a stimulating, safe and age-appropriate environment for children served * Develops training plans to ensure staff meets or exceeds current regulatory standards * Monitors health and safety practices of staff and ensures all tribal standards are being met * Monitors the completion of child portfolios and required meetings with parents/guardians regarding their child's development * Ensures support for children transitioning to school * Required to obtain 40 hours of child care training each year * Maintains files, logs, and records * Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development * Plans staff to meet operational needs * Develops, communicates, monitors location- or function-specific procedures and guidelines * Monitors and improves work performance of assigned teams as a whole and as individuals * Oversees and manages assigned area * Meets operational goals by establishing productivity, quality and service standards, resolves operational problems and identifies work process improvements * Serves as a member of the leadership team, providing input on overall strategic direction of the institution and serves on various committees * Ensures all outcomes and deliverables meet organizational goals, objectives, and quality standards * Prepares weekly reports * Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies: Essential: * Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements * Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability * Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines * Knowledge in early childhood and childcare programs (e.g. NAECY, Oklahoma Resource and Referral, Oklahoma Child Care) * Ability to multitask * Organizes work and assigned area logically and orderly * Solves problems using a collaborative approach * Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Skills: Essential: * Basic Computer skills Experience: Essential: * 3 years directly related experience Education: Essential: * High School, GED or Equivalent * Bachelors Degree in directly related field Credentials: Essential: * Standard Driver's License * Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) * First Aid Certification * Sleep Safe Training * Shaken Baby Syndrome Training * Entry-Level Child-Care Training * Conscious Discipline Training * PAX Tools -
