This position is responsible for greeting, supporting and providing assistance to students, parents, campus departments, and others who call, email, or visit Student Financial Services and complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to interact in a professional manner in person, via email, and on the phone
• Ability to communicate and interact with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds
• Enjoy challenges and is highly motivated
• Conscientious, reliable and dependable
• Good listener
• Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Work on various tasks assigned
• Willing to work summers
• 10-15 hours per week during the academic year

Qualifications Required:

• Must be a full-time UMD undergraduate student in good academic standing with or without work study.
• Enrolled with good academic standing at the University of Minnesota Duluth and making satisfactory academic progress towards a degree.
• Able to meet the expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic, customer-oriented environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Provide excellent start-to-finish customer service.
• Sensitive to cultural diversity.
• Maintain the confidentiality of student records.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay Range: $15.25 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Student workers are eligible to participate in the Student Health Benefit Plan, if they maintain 6 or more eligible course credits within a given semester.
