Mammography Technologist

Pride Health is hiring a Mammography Technologist (Breast) to support our client's medical facility in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. This is a 26-week contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

• Operates equipment and performs various mammography related procedures. Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Explains procedures and educates patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma equivalence with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Candidates must be ARRT registered in both Radiology and Mammography.
• CPR certification is required.

• Pay Range/Salary Range: $2,682.00 /wk.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
