Summary
We are seeking a Senior Director of U.S. Operations will oversee multiple manufacturing sites, driving operational improvements, ensuring quality compliance, and optimizing production processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing multi-site operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Strategic Planning:
· Developing and implementing n strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
· Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability targets are consistently met or exceeded.
Performance Management:
· Setting performance goals, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving continuous improvement initiatives
· Set an effective and scalable organizational structure and define clear roles and responsibilities for the group, manage workloads and career development, and set clear direction for assigned projects.
Operation Efficiency
· Optimizing processes, streamlining workflows, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity.
· Establish and maintain culture of accountability, quality, and attention to detail to help reduce quality escalations and risk of non-conforming, excess, or obsolete inventory.
Team leadership:
· Providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
· Effective leadership to establish and promote a vision for the team that's aligned with the company's strategy and best interests while delivering product on time with top quality and delivering on margin goals.
· Lead teams responsible for developing new products and provide clear communication on project needs and timelines to ensure deadlines/commitments are met.
· Lead and develop direct reports including responsible for hiring, training, mentoring and performance management.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
· Working with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless operations and achieve share objectives
· Participate in the product life cycle planning through interactions with marketing, engineering, product development, manufacturing, and special projects team.
· Participate with cross functional teams and take ownership for product development and lifecycle processes and methodologies and drive continuous, systematic improvements.
Budget Management:
· Managing operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and optimizing resource allocation
· Work with teams to manage cost controls and increase production output to meet the company goals.
Compliance and Risk Management:
· Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards, and implementing risk management strategies

Requirements/Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's in Operations Management is preferred.
● Fly fishing and outdoor experience Preferred, but not required
● Strong track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing operations, preferably within a complex and highly regulated industry.
● 10 years in senior management roles leading teams responsible for new product development and sustaining products in mass production.
●Minimum of 5 years' experienceas a Senior Director managing multiple manufacturing locations and multi shifts, including night shift success.
● Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMP,CPIM is a plus
● Emotionally intelligent leader with the soft skills needed to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, and non-technical support functions, such as HR, IT, and Finance, in order to put the team in the best position to succeed.
● Creative and out-spoken advocate for quality of results, refinement and simplification of complex workflows, and automation of key processes.
● Strong technical writing and communication skills; Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule.
● Ability to clearly assess and manage risk, be decisive, remove roadblocks, and empower teams.
● Strong cross-functional team building, leadership, and problem-solving skills
● ERP knowledge and Expertise (NetSuite, Infor SAP, Epicor, etc.)
● Strong track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing operations, preferably within a complex and highly regulated industry.
● Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
● Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and quality management systems, such as ISO certifications.
● Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, and best practices.
● Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a high-performing manufacturing team.
● Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software systems.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional certifications, such as Certified Manufacturing Professional (CMP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), are a plus
