Summary: Essentra is looking for a full time 2nd Shift Team Lead who will be responsible for assisting supervision in managing the daily operations of the injection molding department. The hours are 2:00pm to 10:30pm. There is a $2.00 shift differential for working the second shift. Typical Accountabilities: • Strategically plan and direct manpower to meet daily production targets and adapt to changing operational needs. • Offer real-time technical assistance to production staff, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth workflow. • Conduct orientation and ongoing training programs (basic and advanced) to build team competency and ensure compliance with operational standards. • Participate in daily production meetings to align team efforts with business objectives and communicate updates effectively. • Provide constructive feedback to the Production Supervisor for annual reviews and performance improvement plans, supporting employee development. • Uphold and enforce all company policies, including safety protocols, quality standards, environmental management systems (EMS), TS16949 compliance, PPE usage, and housekeeping practices. • Track machine and cavity utilization using Mattec systems, and analyze shift efficiency and resource utilization to identify improvement opportunities. • Perform accurate and timely data entry to support production tracking and reporting. • Proactively identify and implement productivity enhancements for existing jobs and processes. • Be available to work overtime as required to support business needs. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times. Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED equivalent • 2 years' experience of injection molding • Previous work experience in manufacturing. • Valid, current driver's license. • Work safely in a fast-paced environment. • Must be able to read and write in English.
