Join the dynamic team at Florida Window & Door, a leading provider of high-quality impact windows and doors in Florida. We are dedicated to excellence in home improvement and are currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our operations. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our warehouse. You will assist with unloading deliveries, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the warehouse. Key responsibilities include receiving incoming merchandise and verifying that they are undamaged and of sound quality, counting received items, assisting install and service staff in retrieving specified merchandise from storage as per the work order, preparing merchandise for delivery or shipping by packaging and labeling them accordingly, maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing merchandise, organizing warehouse merchandise and stacking them on shelves, bays and racks in accordance with company guidelines, performing all duties necessary to maintain facility cleanliness, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and dusting as needed, parts ordering, and assisting in service projects as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements include maintaining regular attendance, proficiency in OSHA standards, ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of company staff, detail-oriented in tracking inventory accuracy and coordinating orders and shipping, highly organized and efficient, with the ability to problem-solve and prioritize, ability to lift 70 lbs. independently, and basic computer competency is required.

Physical requirements include lifting capacity: ability to lift, carry, and maneuver impact windows and doors weighing between 55lbs to 200lbs. Manual assistance is required for items over 100 lbs. Team lifting is required for windows and doors exceeding 100lbs (typically 2 or more individuals depending on size and weight). Use of correct body mechanics, including bending at the knees and keeping the back straight to reduce strain.

Safety and equipment handling include PPE requirements: employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, steel-toed/composite boots, and safety glasses when lifting or handling windows and doors. Must maintain clear pathways for the safe movement and transport of windows and doors.

Environmental and situational requirements include ability to lift and carry in both indoor and outdoor settings, with changing weather conditions, including potential heat or rain. Must be comfortable working at varying heights and angles, particularly when windows and doors are lifted or installed in elevated positions.
