The job duties for this position include but are not limited to: • Providing clerical support for the Area First Sergeant, Sergeant, Troopers, and Volunteers. • Independently preparing reports and correspondence. • Handlings the entry of Legal Documents (SP-124), Weekly Activity Reports (SP-127), and Vehicle Expense Reports (SP-93) into Department computer programs. • Assumes all the duties of the Secretary Senior during their absence. Minimum Qualifications • Knowledge of: • General office practices. • Basic filing principles. • Proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. • Basic math. • Skill in: • Data entry. • Keyboarding. • The use of a personal computer. • The use of Microsoft Office Applications • The use of automated office equipment. • Ability to: • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English. • Work independently. • Interpret and follow written and oral instructions. • Prepare reports and correspondence. • Interpret policies and procedures. • Interact professionally with the general public. • Experience providing administrative and clerical support. • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
