Job DescriptionWe have an opening for a Construction Inspector/Checker. Primary responsibilities for this role will be to Inspect/check sewer utility, water storage; civil site work and commercial buildings to cover areas in Middle Ga from areas from Swainsboro to Sandersville along the Highway 1 corridor. Counties like Washington, Wilkes, Emanuel, Laurens, JeffersonRequired:• 5 years of Engineering Inspection experience or construction supervision• E&S (Erosion & Sediment) Level 1A Certification currently or able to obtain in 90 days• Under limited supervision, observes and inspects construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications on projects primarily related to: Water and sewer utility, storage, conveyance, and treatment; Civil and site work;Commercial buildings• Acts as the engineer's agent at the site and communicates schedule, quality of work, and potential problems to the project manager. • Assist in coordinating work with the contractor and project owner.• Maintains daily logs, completes inspection forms, and provides reports to the engineer and/or owner. • Documents construction by photography and updating project drawings with as-built information.• Reviews shop drawings and product data submitted by the contractor to verify compliance with plans and specifications Meet Your RecruiterBrian RayOriginally hailing from South Alabama, Brian attended the University of Alabama, where he studied Anthropology and Geology.
