The project will deliver critical improvements to the roadways, streets, and thoroughfares in and around the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) campus. HDR will assist with the management of projects throughout the design, preconstruction, and construction phases, from inception to closeout. HDR is proud to lead a strong team of world-class professionals to sculpt this project that is a key part of the infrastructure transformation ahead of the 2028 Olympics and will serve millions of travelers and Angelenos for decades to come.In the role of Deputy Project Manager, we'll count on you to:* Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the roadway infrastructure project's life cycle (from development and initiation, construction, acceptance to close-out), while under supervision of a Project Manager* Responsible for many aspects of a small to mid-size project or a single aspect of a larger project such as environmental compliance research, utility research and coordination, permitting, design scope development, identification and coordination of stakeholders / 3rd Parties, ROW requirements, design review coordination and oversight, tracking quality, schedule and cost, etc* Capable of performing and adapting to construction management activities including procurement - construction schedules, construction subcontracts, task-order scopes, review of subcontracts terms and conditions, performance of constructability and value engineering, reviews construction estimating and project construction performance presentations.* Coordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and schedule* Coordinate expeditious review of construction submittals.* Managing the project budget and schedule during construction phase.* Coordinate and manage project quality assurance, Construction inspection, materials testing and surveying services.* Ensuring Contractor and subcontractor compliance with the Health and Safety Program through communication and inspections.* Prepare, review and update project schedules pay requests and daily weekly and monthly progress budget and schedule management reports.* Work with the Project Manager, Project Controls, LAWA, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews* Perform other duties as needed #LI-JF1Keywords: Deputy Project Manager, construction schedules, construction subcontracts, task-order scopes, constructability, value engineeringPreferred Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in related field such as Civil Engineering, Project / Program Management or Business Administration.* 5 years related experience with delivering roadway, complete streets and landscaping improvements, building infrastructure, building beautification and LED lighting preferably with LAWA, City of LA, LA BOE, LADBS, LA DSL* Ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skillsRequired Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in related field* 5 years related experience* Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
