Work Shift: Job Description: The Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for participating as needed and leading the supply chain master and production scheduling professionals, in conjunction with collaborating with other functional departments which directly or indirectly impact scheduling, to drive and enable customer on-time delivery. The Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for participating as needed and leading the supply chain master and production scheduling professionals, in conjunction with collaborating with other functional departments which directly or indirectly impact scheduling, to drive and enable customer on-time delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write new and/or revise/edit work instruction procedures as needed.
  • Verify material and production capacity 5 days looking forward to develop production schedules based on demand forecast to meet customer configuration and quantity requirements.
  • Support on-time shipment and align material capacity through product mix demand by managing on-hand inventory levels, supplier schedules, and customer change orders.
  • Provide long range input to Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities and coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure material signals are in place and capacity is available to meet requirements.
  • Cross Functional Production Stand-Up Leadership including Late Order Notice (LON) Pre-Work checklist, facilitate LON meeting, maintain/populate LON & late part list spreadsheet, allocate production volume/mix/capacity, resolve tactical issues, modify production schedules to customer requirements.
  • Define, document and implement a scheduling strategy which enables meeting and or exceeding operating margin expansion targets and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with other company leaders to seamlessly integrate scheduling improvement opportunities into functional goals and objectives.
  • Lead, develop and/or implement best-in-class improvement processes and procedures utilizing kaizens and lean tools.
  • Conduct interviews, hire staff, and assure professional development of staff, including regular formal performance feedback and necessary cross-training.
  • Support special projects related to product launches and other supply chain initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain/Operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High degree of business ethics and accountability.
  • Leadership and application of lean tools and principles to drive improvements.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Proficient with ERP systems.
  • Effective in both written and verbal communications.
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • APICS certification for CSCP
  • APICS certification for CPIM
  • Bachelor's degree
WORK ENVIRONMENT: ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
  • Primary work environment is professional corporate

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
