Niles Community Schools Assistant Principal - Ring Lardner Middle School 8/6/2025 Full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year Reports to: Ring Lardner Middle School Principal (or designee) Niles Community Schools is looking for a dynamic Assistant Principal. Highly-effective communication skills and professionalism required for daily interaction with a diverse workforce, student population, building administration and community.
Required Qualifications: - Hold valid Michigan Administrator Certification
- Master's degree or higher, preferably in Educational Leadership
- Five years successful experience as a classroom teacher
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Preferred: - Proven leadership ability in school administration and education evaluation and supervision
- Strong background in curriculum and instruction
Essential Duties (non-prioritized): Performs as a Team Member of District Administration - Provides leadership and accountability for student achievement in all school programs
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and performs assigned tasks.
- Interprets and implements Board policies, administrative rules and procedures.
- Communicates and coordinates with appropriate personnel issues related to administration, personnel, instruction, school-community relations, operations, equipment and supplies.
- Comply with all school district policies and procedures.
- Ability to align student goals and objectives with district and state standards.
- Prepares such reports as may be required by the district and state.
Performs as a Leader at the Building Level - Assists Principal with the supervision of the School Improvement Process and the Accreditation Process as well as other state or federal mandates or reports.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school's curriculum and programs.
