We tackle problems head-on and focus on solutions that create lasting impact. Because when our customers win, we all win.The Role We are looking for an experienced frontend-focused Product Engineer to help lead the technical direction of the CockroachDB Cloud Console team. In this high-impact role, you will serve as a key architect and influencer of our frontend infrastructure, ensuring it scales with the growth of our product and engineering organization. The Cloud Console team builds user interfaces, APIs, and integrations (including Terraform) that simplify how users set up, connect to, manage, and operate their CockroachDB clusters. You'll have opportunities to lead critical initiatives that empower internal teams and end users alike through thoughtful design and infrastructure-level improvements. We're looking for a senior engineer who thrives at the intersection of frontend engineering and technical leadership-one who wants to shape the future of our user interfaces, drive architectural coherence, and mentor engineers across the organization. You Will

  • Evaluate and introduce modern developer tooling, including AI-assisted development and internal platform abstractions.
  • Participate in architectural reviews, RFCs, and cross-team technical planning.
  • Advocate for the developer experience across all teams building on our shared frontend infrastructure.

The TeamIsaac Wong - EVP of Engineering Isaac is responsible for the health of the engineering organization at Cockroach Labs. He partners closely with teams to ensure we have a balanced culture that promotes quality and innovation in pursuit of our goals.
