Cheltenham, MD 20623 Main Purpose of Job Uphold the ethical and professional standards of ASCA and other applicable professional counseling associations and promote the development of the school counseling program based on the following areas of the ASCA National Model: foundation, delivery, management and accountability. Provide a needs-based, comprehensive, planned school counseling program. Provide services that facilitate skills in personal and academic achievement, educational/career decision making and interpersonal skills. To assist the principal in planning, implementing and administering educational services, related student services and perform administrative functions as needed. This position may require assignment to another site, if needed, to provide systemic support. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Possession of appropriate educational credentials as determined by the Maryland State Board of Education. Experience: None.
