POSITION SUMMARY

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will leverage your knowledge, attention to detail, compassion, and analytical skills to provide exceptional care to patients requiring respiratory support.

STATUS: Full-Time

LOCATION: Massena Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Respiratory Services

SCHEDULE: Night Shift - 7pm to 7am

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certificate is required.
• Must possess a New York State Respiratory Therapist license.
• ACLS certification (current) required within one year of hire.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patient Care: Evaluate patient history, conduct physical assessments, and review vital signs; advise healthcare providers on respiratory care procedures.
• Planning & Documentation: Develop and update respiratory care plans; collaborate with the healthcare team to implement care and document all relevant clinical findings.
• Education & Communication: Provide patient education on therapeutic procedures; relay patient status to team members, and assist in training for new staff and students.

Note: Not all per diem roles are union eligible.

EDUCATION & LICENSES

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Medium Work - Requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; frequent walking, standing, or squatting is necessary.

PAY RANGE: $31.80 - $42.99 per hour. The specified pay range represents a good faith estimate of potential pay for a successful full-time candidate and may be adjusted in the future.
