Your typical day - Our MDA analysts and engineers work in modern, well-appointed government facilities at Redstone Arsenal. Redstone is located in Huntsville, Alabama, otherwise known as Rocket City. Huntsville is the hub of missile and space research and development. You will collaborate with other missile defense experts - military, government civilians, and contractors from Axient and other companies. Our team of experts helps the Government manage planning, development and delivery of state-of-the art sensors, weapons, communications, and command/control systems.
What are your specific duties? - The Systems Engineer - Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) will support systems engineering efforts include engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) and Ballistic Missile Defense System Overhead Persistent Infra-Red Architecture (BOA) technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs. Systems engineering responsibilities include translating mission objectives into reference architectures, developing technical requirements in support of interface designs and participating in reviews/assessments of C2BMC/BOA engineering products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for design, development, integration and management of interfaces between systems, software, and hardware components, ensuring compliance with MDA/BC technical baselines.
