HR Payroll Administrator | Sacramento LHH is currently partnering with an established client in search of an HR Administrator in the Sacramento area. As an HR Administrator with a primary focus on payroll, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of their payroll process to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal laws. This role is critical to their organization's success, as it directly impacts their employees' financial well-being and ensures the company's adherence to legal requirements. Location: Sacramento, CA Compensation: $25 - $30 /hr Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Maintain payroll records, reports, and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws, regulations, and tax codes, and ensure the company's payroll practices align with these changes.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll-related reports to government agencies.
- Work closely with HR to onboard new employees and facilitate changes to employee information.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify and rectify any inaccuracies or inconsistencies.
- Assist in other HR-related tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 4+ proven experience as an HR Administrator or Payroll Specialist.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Proficiency with Excel - (Vlookups, Macros, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
