Rang Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Clinic for a travel nursing job in Sisseton, South Dakota.
Job Description & RequirementsSchedule will be with the Director of Nursing (DON) or her designee. Assignments will be rotating shifts of eight (8) hours or twelve (12) hour shifts on weekdays.
Four (4) hour shifts on weekends.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-8:00 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm.
The contractor will not be on standby or on call back during this contract. Hours are subject to change when the staff is unavailable or if/when there is a decrease in staff. Shift times are subject to change based on the medical need of the patient and clinic operations.
CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Complete patient assessments related to presenting conditions including prevention screenings and coordinating care consults to determine the required care needed.2. Set-up and operate specialized equipment, such as EKG machine, blood pressure monitors, and glucometer.3. Provides all provider ordered treatments and interventions including administration of prescribed oral medications, hypodermic injections, and intravenous medication.4. Provides education and teaching to patients and families on preventive, curative and rehabilitative measures involved in health care.5. Prepares and reviews records of care given and makes sure all care provided is documented on patients records in accordance with WWKMHCC documentation requirements in the electronic medical record and local polices.6. Provides customer service and professionalism to colleagues and patients.7. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the RN scope of practices for ambulatory patient care is achieved and adhered to for all patient encounters.8. Shall have professional skills and experience to support nursing skills, principles,standards of practice to plan and provide coordinated care for patients of all ages across the lifespan.9. Maintains compliance with WWKMHCC licensure, certifications, and ongoing competency requirements such as BLS (Basic Life Support).10. Assist with answering telephone calls and scheduling patient appointments
