Position Summary
King University invites applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the President, a vital role supporting the Presidents daily operations, board relations, and strategic engagement. The Executive Assistant acts as a liaison with cabinet members, senior administrators, trustees, and external stakeholders. The role provides operational and logistical support, focusing on high-level administrative tasks such as workflow management, travel scheduling, calendaring, drafting correspondence, handling expense reports, and maintaining office efficiency.
Experience
- 5+ years or equivalent experience in administrative work.
Education
- Bachelors degree required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years or equivalent experience in administrative work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced discernment and decision-making skills; ability to interact with constituents calmly and helpfully.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet search skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and work some evenings and weekends during events.
- Driving a university vehicle is not required, but submission of driving data is necessary.
- Adherence to all King University policies as per the Employee Handbook.
- Must articulate a personal faith in Jesus Christ and support the university's mission. A written statement of faith is required from all applicants.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesFaith & Mission
- Represent the Presidents Office with integrity and hospitality aligned with the Christian mission.
- Engage with university personnel to foster collaboration and servant leadership.
- Create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff in the Presidents Office.
Daily Operations
- Manage the Presidents calendar, emails, appointments, and correspondence.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and handle correspondence related to the schedule.
- Answer phones, support with advancement activities, and manage office supplies and budgets.
- Handle confidential documents and prepare reports and speeches.
- Assist with travel arrangements and keep the Presidents spouse informed of events.
Board Engagement
- Support the planning of Board of Trustees meetings.
- Assist with communication, scheduling, and minute-taking for the Board.
Cabinet Communication
- Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration and meetings with Cabinet members.
Special Events
- Organize events hosted by the Presidents Office, including logistics and materials.
