The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the dispatch and distribution of products, ensuring they are delivered to customers and distribution centers efficiently and on time. This role involves coordinating shipments, managing transportation logistics, handling documentation, and maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders. The coordinator will also work closely with production and sales teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods from the warehouse to the customer.

The Logistics Coordinator manages dispatch and distribution, coordinating shipments, documentation, and stakeholder communication to ensure timely delivery.

Role Responsibilities
  • Finished Goods Dispatch:
    • Coordinate dispatch to customers, distributors, and warehouses ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Work with logistics providers and carriers to schedule and track shipments.
    • Monitor and address shipment issues, updating stakeholders accordingly.
  • Shipping and Documentation:
    • Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
    • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and customs requirements.
    • Manage documentation and track shipments via ERP systems.
  • Inventory Coordination:
    • Oversee inventory accuracy at distribution centers and warehouses.
    • Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to prepare goods for dispatch.
    • Participate in inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Customer and Internal Coordination:
    • Work with sales and customer service to process and ship orders on time.
    • Provide shipment updates and handle logistics inquiries.
    • Collaborate internally to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement logistics process improvements.
    • Stay informed on industry best practices and suggest innovations.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all activities comply with policies, safety, and legal standards.
    • Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.
Required Skills / Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple activities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JD Edwards) and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Attention to detail in inventory and documentation management.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 2-3 years in logistics or supply chain management, focusing on finished goods.
  • Experience with third-party logistics providers and carriers.
Job Expectations / Working Conditions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple deadlines.
  • Occasional travel to distribution centers, warehouses, or customer sites.
  • Flexibility for extended hours during peak periods.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in logistics environments.
