Global Sourcing Manager
Description
Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a Director of Global Supply Chain, Logistics, Sourcing, and Purchasing for our Turners Falls, MA office. This leadership role oversees all aspects of the company's global supply chain operations, including group sourcing strategies, logistics management, and purchasing processes. The position requires a strategic mindset to develop and implement global supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
Starting Pay: $97,452.16/year
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with purchasing site leadership to develop and execute global sourcing and procurement strategies that focus on cost reduction, risk management, and sustainability.
- Establish and maintain relationships with global suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to meet quality, delivery, and cost standards.
- Oversee the global logistics network, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Manage procurement processes from sourcing to payment, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, through direct management of purchasing managers at manufacturing locations in Massachusetts and Aguascalientes, Mexico.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the global supply chain and optimize logistics operations.
- Enhance the knowledge and skills of supply chain and purchasing professionals at manufacturing sites, mitigating risks such as supply disruptions, currency fluctuations, and geopolitical issues.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of global supply chain practices, procurement, and logistics.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience in developing and executing global sourcing strategies.
- Proficiency with supply chain management systems and tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related fields.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
- Spanish language skills are an advantage.
