The Director of Alumni and Parent Relations leads Notre Dame Prep's alumni and parent engagementprograms, volunteers, communications, and events. This position oversees select events for the Office ofAdvancement and serves as the primary Advancement liaison to the school's parent organizations,including the NDP Parents Club and Booster Club. The Director works to strengthen lifelong relationships

between alumni, parents, and the school while supporting the mission of Notre Dame Prep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop an annual plan for the Notre Dame Alumni Association, including a calendar of events andcommunications, and goals and measurable outcomes for new and existing alumni programs.
  • Provide leadership to and manage the Alumni Council.
  • Serve as the primary Advancement liaison to the NDP Parents Club, partnering with its leadership to support its mission, events, communications, and volunteer initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Parents Club, Booster Club, and other parent volunteer groups to plan and execute activities that enhance community engagement and support Advancement goals.
  • Plan and execute alumni, donor, parent, and community events including Homecoming,
  • Grandparents Day, Parents Club signature events, and the annual St. Peter Chanel Society dinner.
  • Recruit, train, and engage Parent Club, Booster Club, and alumni volunteers to assist with events and initiatives throughout the year.
  • Recruit, train, and engage alumni to serve as class chairs to increase awareness and participation in events, online community, class notes, and other volunteer opportunities.
  • Recruit and/or partner with reunion volunteers from Notre Dame Prep and heritage schools to plan and execute reunion events.
  • Expand alumni career network to increase alumni-to-alumni networking, compile and share career-related advice and resources, and host events in career tracks.
  • Write content for and recruit volunteers to write Alumni Association and parent communications, including Irish magazine, e-newsletters, digital media, and other publications.
  • Spearhead young alumni engagement strategy to begin lifelong relationships with recent graduates during their collegiate years.
  • Coordinate opportunities for affinity groups in athletics, the arts, and other areas to remain involved and participate in school and Alumni Association activities.
  • Partner with the Director of Annual Giving to foster alumni and parent participation in the Notre Dame Fund.
  • Along with the Head of School and Vice President, identify alumni and parent constituents to be considered for the major and/or planned gifts pipeline.
  • Partner with the Director of Advancement Services to maintain accurate alumni and parent constituent records.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience at an independent school, non-profit organization, college or university, orsimilar experience with transferable skills.
