LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking a Configuration Manager (Onsite) with technical expertise and Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) knowledge and experience to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain configuration management plans for NAS IT systems, ensuring systematic tracking and control throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and implement version control, change tracking, and configuration audits for hardware and software components used across NAS operational environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and program management teams to ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and alignment of configuration baselines to FAA standards.
  • Develop and maintain configuration identification systems, including automated tools to monitor changes and maintain accountability across the enterprise.
  • Leverage E-IDS expertise to support deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of real-time display systems across FAA facilities, ensuring interoperability and minimal operational disruption.
  • Ensure compliance with national and organizational policies, such as NAS Modernization initiatives and FAA CM directives, through structured reporting, reviews, and stakeholder engagement.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information system, other IT degrees with 5+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of configuration management experience within a regulated IT or aviation systems environment.
  • Proficiency in configuration tools and frameworks (e.g., CMII, ITIL, or CMMI standards).
  • Experience managing configuration baselines across system lifecycles; ideally within NAS or similar environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise with E-IDS systems and their integration within FAA infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with FAA policies, NAS directives, and system documentation requirements.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to interface with engineering, operations, and program stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitation, and management skills, written and oral communication skills, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • ITIL Foundation or Practitioner (Preferred)

  • Physical requirements:
    • Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
    • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
    • Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.
    • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
    • Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
  • Background check: Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Compensation (Pay Bands)

Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40-hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and are just one component of the LST's total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C.
