Job DescriptionInfosys is seeking a Network Infrastructure Consultant. This position is responsible for the strategic operation, maintenance, optimization, and security of an organization's enterprise networking environment. This includes managing routing, switching, wireless, and fabric services to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing connectivity across the enterprise. The consultant will lead proactive monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives while delivering superior customer experience.Required Skills

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Wichita, KS or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • At least 2 years of desktop support or similar experience.
  • This role may involve elevated access to Impact Level 4 (IL4) data and/or security requirements for handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and sensitive data as defined by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Only U.S. Citizens are eligible.
  • Experienced network professional to manage, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including:
    • Cisco routers and switches (core, distribution, access layers)
    • Cisco Nexus switches
    • Cisco DNAC and SD-Access fabric services
    • Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC)
    • Aruba and Cisco wireless controllers and access points
  • Proficient in network monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.
  • Skilled in ServiceNow (SNOW) for incident, change, and configuration management; familiar with ITIL processes and CI/CD workflows.
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Monitoring, servicing, and triaging issues across all network devices.
    • Performing break/fix, upgrades, and recommending improvements.
    • Troubleshooting complex network issues across wired and wireless infrastructure.
    • Ensuring high availability, performance, and security of all network components.
    • Supporting wireless network optimization (AP placement, channel planning, security).
    • Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of wireless networks.
    • Planning and executing network upgrades, including patches and firmware updates for Cisco switches, routers, and wireless controllers.
    • Coordinating with cross-functional IT teams to minimize downtime during maintenance by scheduling appropriate maintenance windows.
    • Staying up to date with Cisco's latest software and firmware releases and applying security patches in a timely and compliant manner.
    • Implementing network redundancy, failover mechanisms, and recovery procedures to maintain high availability.
    • Assisting in the development and testing of disaster recovery plans and network restoration strategies.
    • Participating in business continuity exercises to ensure the network infrastructure supports organizational recovery objectives.
Preferred Skills:
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent ITSM credential.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to deliver prompt and effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-stakeholder team environments.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working in a global delivery model.
  • Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
  • Awareness of network security best practices, including segmentation and access control.
