Description

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector seeks a Data Software Engineer with Elastic and Kafka experience to support the Innovations Group on our GSM-O II Program as a member of the End to End Visualization Team. The sector provides diverse systems, solutions, and services across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for global customers, including enterprise IT, intelligence systems, cybersecurity, and more. Our team addresses security challenges for critical missions.

Note: Candidate must be within driving distance of Fort Meade or Scott AFB. A Secret clearance is required at start, and Security+ certification must be obtained within 14 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data integration solutions supporting a unified UX/UI on the Elastic platform.
• Collaborate with users and support teams, creating mockups and wireframes.
• Develop Kafka, Elastic, Logstash data pipelines and support Kibana dashboards using React, JavaScript, and HTML.
• Implement applications in JavaScript, HTML, CSS; integrate with CI/CD pipelines using Cloudbees/Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a relevant field + 8+ years of experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain Security+ certification.
• Experience with Python, Java, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Git, UNIX, and Agile practices.
• 6+ years designing dashboards with the Elastic stack.
• Willingness to commute to Scott AFB or Fort Meade as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka, Elastic, Kibana, and data visualization.
• Knowledge of Elastic security features, cloud environments, and DevOps tools.
• Experience with DoD networks and security standards.
