Position Summary:

The In-Plant Solutions Manager primarily manages In-Plant on-site Inside Sales Executives across 15-25 locations and supports Sr. Leadership in strategy development and execution. Responsibilities include associate skill and career development, onboarding, goal setting, supply chain practices, and customer service excellence. Sales and profitability targets align with regional and company goals to help the team meet annual metrics.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and technical guidance to In-Plant associates, including supervision, mentoring, and supply chain support.
• Develop and implement MSC In-Plant Solutions Program goals and training materials.
• Address complex technical business issues with industry expertise.
• Drive growth and profitability at each customer location.
• Support at customer sites as needed.
• Create SOPs and schedules for In-Plant teams.
• Train associates on tools and solutions, including system and solution training.
• Onboard new team members.
• Communicate weekly with Regional Sales Managers and Sr. Leadership; visit sites quarterly to review service levels and opportunities.
• Manage client reports and cost savings procedures.
• Coordinate with other MSC resources for site projects.
• Identify opportunities for expanded spend management.
• Participate in customer business reviews and site audits.
• Review and improve SOPs through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Handle all managerial duties including hiring, reviews, and development.
• Promote MSC culture and participate in special projects as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain-related field plus at least 8 years relevant experience, or
• 8 years relevant experience without a degree.
• 3+ years managerial experience preferred.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Motivated and team-oriented.
• Experience with customer management software and industrial distribution.

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50% of the time.
• Potential access to ITAR and CUI information.

Starting salary ranges from $96,740 to $138,200 depending on experience. MSC offers comprehensive benefits, professional development, and a diverse, inclusive work environment.
