Supply Chain Associate - Early Careers Development Program 2025
This role involves engaging and developing proficiency in all major areas of the WestRock Supply Chain, including Procurement, Logistics, and Product Planning.
Responsibilities
- Develop a broad understanding of supply chain functions and be able to perform entry-level roles within Supply Chain with a strong understanding of processes.
Expectations
- Understand upstream and downstream supply chain processes.
- Develop production plans for Business Units.
- Lead S2C (Source, Negotiate, Contract) and P2P (cradle to grave order processing) processes.
- Manage inventory levels of Finished Goods and MRO.
- Understand the papermaking process at a high level.
- Shadow current leaders and develop leadership skills through cross-functional engagements.
- Lead small to mid-level initiatives across Supply Chain.
- Complete a Yellow Belt/Green Belt Six Sigma project & certification.
Proficiency in JDE, SAP/4HANA, Panther, Load Xpert is preferred.
Impact on WestRock
- The two-year program includes rotations across different supply chain functions and aspects of the industry, with placements across the U.S.
- Roles include Process, Production, or Project Engineer, focusing on optimizing production, quality, and cost reduction.
- Support projects in Supply Chain, Logistics, Sustainability, Safety, R&D, or special assignments.
Qualifications
- Required: Pursuing or completed a Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management or related field by June 2024.
- Preferred: Minimum 3.0 GPA.
