As a Construction Project Estimator with Servpro of Duncanville/DeSoto, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to all customers and clients. In this role, you will manage various functions on all construction projects.Key Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to inspect and photograph all damages.
- Develop and write estimates including all construction services required for restoration, ensuring customer and client satisfaction (e.g., ITEL reports, material reports, engineering reports).
- Document all communications and follow-ups with customers and clients.
- Communicate with adjusters and clients for project approvals and authorizations.
- Ensure estimates comply with plans, specifications, local codes, and scope of work requirements.
- Properly document each project, including photos.
- Assist Project Construction Manager when needed for scope clarification.
- Manage the claim process from inspection to close, including documentation and communications.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous construction experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to meet production goals and maintain profitability
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- At least two years of Xactimate experience, including sketching (Required)
Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies
- Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods (driving, sitting, climbing)
- Ability to climb ladders for inspections and photos
- Exposure to loud noise levels at jobsites
- Ability to pass a background check, subject to applicable laws
