The Water Management practice sits within the Resilience Water Global Business Area and includes services across a broad spectrum of resilience planning, detailed design and engineering of coastal, riverine, and stormwater flood risk and climate adaptation solutions, nature based solutions, dams, levees, and reservoirs, water security, risk modeling, and funding and program management, disaster recovery and resilience support, asset and enterprise risk and resilience, and alternative project delivery for related solutions. .Role accountabilities:The role requires development of a comprehensive understanding of Water Management practices nationally and within the Texas market, and the ability to promote these practices to Texas clients. The individual will serve as an integrator, delivering exceptional solutions by leveraging the expertise and resources available through Arcadis. A key responsibility is establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and culture, and creating value-added solutions. The role entails collaboration with internal stakeholders, which is essential to develop and execute client account plans that focus on expanding services. The individual will lead client pursuits and ensure successful project wins through effective engagement strategies, often serving as Principal in Charge or Project Director. Additionally, the role involves coordinating regional conference needs and engaging with sector lobbying organizations to enhance client exposure and service expansion. Maintaining involvement in professional societies and participating in leadership roles is important for developing an industry-wide perspective. Providing advisory and technical support to teams, mentoring junior staff, and participating in hiring panels are also key aspects of the position. The role requires close coordination with Account Leads, Area Leads, Solution Directors, Practice Leads, and Practitioners to ensure aligned and integrated efforts across the organization. Furthermore, the individual will support effective project management, quality control, and staffing to help deliver projects successfully.Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 years of consulting delivery experience with an environmental engineering or management consulting firm, or equivalent experience with a large municipal utility.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Planning, Economics, Engineering, Business, Management, Science, Data Analytics, Quality, Technology).

Key Skills & Attributes

• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in one or more of the following service areas that the Water Management practice supports: Climate adaptation and disaster resilience, water resources management, dam and reservoir safety, coastal and / or watershed management, detailed design and engineering of resilient infrastructure, collaborative project delivery, asset and enterprise risk and resilience, funding and implementation, disaster recovery, emergency management, or stormwater resilience.
• Knowledge and experience working with relevant state and federally funded programs at the state and/or local government scale. Examples of Texas state agencies that administer/oversee programs, e.g. Texas GLO > HUD CDBG-DR/MIT; TDEM > FEMA PA/HMA/HMGP; Texas Water Development Board.
• In-depth knowledge of regional dynamics and cultural nuances, with a proven track record in business development and client management.
• Ability to articulate the strategic value of Water Management services to municipal, utility, state, federal, and private sector executives and stakeholders.
• Strong track record in securing business and fostering deep client relationships.
• Recognized for effective team collaboration, interpersonal skills, and leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in presentations and report preparation.
• Willingness and ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 15+ years of consulting delivery experience with an environmental engineering or management consulting firm or equivalent experience.
• M.S. in an applicable field.
• Professional certification such as Professional Engineer, Certified Planner, or Project Management Professional.
