The Per Diem Staff Nurse in the Interventional Radiology Nursing Unit provides professional nursing care to all people of all ages and their families, in coordination with the Interventional Radiologist. Assist in various minimally invasive procedures such as X-Ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), OR Ultrasound, which may be for biopsies, diagnosis or treatment. Monitors and examines patients prior to procedures, as well as during and after procedure care. Administers medications including conscious sedation and assists the medical team as needed during the procedure. Responsible to all patients documentations and procedure notes, ensuring all documentation are completed correctly and in timely manner. Utilizes knowledge of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care. Formulates nursing diagnosis for treating actual or potential health problems, teaching, counseling and providing care. Delegates appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel.
