Position is responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and coaching instruction at a large public high school. Responsibilities may include supervising teams at varsity and junior varsity levels. Essential Duties:Under the direction of the Head Coach, assist with planning practices, running practices, and coaching during practices and games. Communicate expectations to parents and players. Ensure there are always two coaches at the field. Attend all practices and games. Arrange for practices/game coverage if you are unable to attend. Start and end practices on time. You and other designated coach are always the last to leave the field. Adhere to school board requirements and recommendations. Attend all coaches meetings. Assist with player selection. Supervision of team during all activities. Qualifications: KSA's, Education Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:In-depth knowledge and advanced strategies of applicable sport. Knowledge of VHSL rules.
